Atlanta, Georgia (June 22, 2009) - SunLink Health Systems, Inc. (NYSE/Amex:SSY) today announced that its North Georgia Medical Center & Gilmer Nursing Home, a 150-bed general medical, surgical and nursing home facility located in Ellijay, GA, and its CEO, Jeffrey M. Dunn, was named by the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) for Outstanding Resident Care Levels at its 43rd Annual Convocation in May 2009. The award was made to ten facilities nationwide, which placed Gilmer Nursing Home in the top 1% among over 16,000 nursing homes.

This marks the second consecutive year that North Georgia Medical Center & Gilmer Nursing Home has been the recipient of this prestigious ACHCA recognition and is the latest of SunLink’s facilities to receive national recognition. Six of SunLink’s seven hospital facilities have received national recognition in the last three years.
